Resurrection of the Ignored

Since the inception of The Lighter Writer, I have found myself writing heavier pieces than I had intended to. But now I am glad to say The Lighter Writer is being resurrected to truly be a blog about the lighter topics.

I even tried to figure out how to write heavy topics and say that they were lifting people's burdens, but that experiment didn't work as well as I had hoped. Ah, risk, the thing we do when no one else can give us a command, example or inference to guide our steps.

The good news is when a risk fails, I now have lunch provided at no extra cost. I just peel the egg off my face, add a little salt and I'm satisfied. Oh, and I also learn what doesn't work.

If you're anything like me, you didn't waltz into society gracefully, you stumbled in, tore your dress on your high heel, got a runner in your hose and found yourself pulling the hair that has now flopped onto your lipstick.

For those of you who were blessed with the golden touch, I ask your patience if I impart some newly found wisdom on my part that should have been obvious in my earlier years.

The good news is the ugly duckling turns into a swan, Cinderella becomes a princess, and if the story's good enough, they turn it into a ballet where all your former foibles look so graceful.

In life, the former stumble is expressed in the Ballet as a Jete, a leap; changing one's mind is showcased as a Pirouette, or a turn standing on one leg; personal fear comes out in a Glissade, a gliding movement. Time is indeed a healer.
